Preparing kids for medical interventions (dentist) to avoid traumatisation

One of the most present (yet, often unrecognised) traumas in children comes from stressful medical interventions.
The child's nervous system can become dis-regulated due to his body being immobilised while feeling terrified. That can result in the child becoming hyperactive and aggressive in the days or weeks following a stressful medical intervention.

Medical interventions don’t have to be traumatic though. This video explains how we can prepare our kids at home before medical interventions to prevent them from trauma and empower them.

You’ll see exactly how I’ve prepared my daughter (4yo) for her first visit at the dentist: in a fun, playful way! You’ll be able to use this video as inspiration to prepare your children for any kind of medical intervention (and have fun with them!).

Video recorded in 2018.
