1 on 1 Sessions
One-on-one support is the most individualised, efficient, and long-lasting type of support you can receive.
I combine Aware Parenting (which is a form of Attachment Parenting) and Somatic Experiencing (trauma healing and stress management) in my sessions, offering your whole system (mind and body) a unique and holistic type of support.
Here are a few things I can support you with:
✓ interpreting and understanding your child’s behaviour
✓ handling unpleasant and aggressive behaviour, cries and tantrums,
✓ finding a healthy balance with breastfeeding
✓ setting limits with respect and confidence
✓ relating to your child without punishments or rewards
✓ helping your child heal from stressful events (medical interventions, separations, etc.)
✓ reconnect with your children and strengthen your attachment with them
✓ regaining flexibility and playfulness in parenting
And at a more personal level:

My Approach

Somatic Experiencing is a powerful yet gentle healing modality that considers all aspects of the human body and mind. We work at the nervous system level for positive and long-lasting changes.
There is no “quick fix” when it comes to healing from past trauma though. This type of work, although powerful, takes time. It’s important to take things one step at a time in order to not overwhelm the nervous system and ensure long-lasting results and well-integrated changes.
In a one-off session, I can provide you with great information about Aware Parenting and some emotional support, which might be all you need right now.
But if you feel that the cause of your struggles is deeper and you would like a more in-depth and long-lasting type of help, I invite you to consider booking a 3 or 5 session pack.

What does healing trauma have to do with parenting?
We’ve all gone through some kind of trauma in our life: accidents, medical interventions, an abusive, depressed or emotionally-absent parent, the loss of a loved one, bullying at school, having to please our parents and put our needs aside, being shamed, blamed or humiliated, etc.
Trauma is not ‘in your head’, it’s held in the nervous system.
If we haven’t healed from our past traumas, our body is still holding onto the tremendous energy mobilised during the traumatic event.
This energy, locked inside our system, produces unpleasant symptoms (such as anxiety, migraines, chronic pains, depression, etc.) and unwanted reactions (such as anger outbursts, inability to set boundaries, disconnection from ourselves and our children, etc.).
In other words, our unresolved traumas are affecting our everyday thoughts, reactions and symptoms, whether we’re conscious of this or not.
Our relationship to our kids is affected too, of course.
For instance:
A traumatic birth can make it difficult to bond with our child, can trigger post-natal depression or uncontrollable anger outbursts.
We find ourselves saying or doing the same things that our parents did or said to us (even though we promised ourselves that we would never do or say that to our own children!).
Having our own boundaries not respected in the past (because of an authoritarian parent, physical/sexual abuse or an invasive medical intervention) makes it really hard to set boundaries with confidence in the present, with our children.
These are only examples, of course. The way our overall health, our every day life and our parenting journey is affected by our past traumas is unique to each of us. The good news is that we can heal and do things differently.
Somatic Experiencing (SE)
Somatic Experiencing offers deep healing that does NOT require you to talk about the past and “tell the story” again.
Somatic Experiencing works with the nervous system in the present moment, towards completion and empowerment.
SE sessions consist in us safely exploring what happens inside your system in a given situation, working with words but also with bodily sensations, images and movements, supporting your system to discharge the locked up energy and offering it time to heal and re-organise into new patterns.
As we heal our nervous system, we become freer, more energised, emotionally resilient, more relaxed and confident, flexible, playful and happy.
Because our kids constantly co-regulate with us, their system (and therefore behaviour and health) is positively affected too.

Each session lasts about 55 minutes.
